The Energy Released By Others Affects Our Mood

The energy released by others affects our mood

Human beings absorb energy from each other. This explains why there are individuals who feel uncomfortable when they are in a certain group. This is the conclusion reached thanks to a study carried out at the University of Belfield, aimed at demonstrating that human beings are continuously influenced by the energies of their surrounding environment.

Flowers need water to grow and people are no less: our physical bodies are like sponges that absorb a part of what gravitates in the environment. Our body makes use of the energy emanating from other organisms to fuel its emotional states. We all have close to us an individual capable of sucking up all our energy and “disappearing”, just as we can always count on the presence of someone who inspires us.

Apparently, humans can also absorb the energy released by animals and nature in general; this is why being in contact with nature is so stimulating and energizing. In this regard, zootherapy, or pet therapy , has the mission of exploiting the company of animals to improve the conditions of patients.

The relationship between mood and energy level

Energy is the ability that a body has to do a job. All bodies can accumulate energy and produce changes on themselves and / or on other elements. When we carry out any activity, we are basically carrying out a “transfer” of energy.

All living things need different types of energy to develop their activities, and they get them mainly from food. However, they can also derive energy from nature, i.e. wind, water, heat, light, etc. Energy is, without a doubt, essential for our life; its absence hinders many of our daily activities, such as physical travel, self-care, work or playing a sport.

The energy of our body affects and changes our mood. According to some psychologists, such as Robert Thayer, the mood reflects the association between energy and emotions. The mood fluctuates between an energetic state (from more exhausted to more active) and a state referred to the level of nervousness (between calmer and more tense). Within this scale, the state considered best is the calm-energetic one and the worst is the tense-exhausted one.

How to increase positive energy?

When the personal energy state is rather low, everything becomes more tiring and the difficulties multiply. You need to ask yourself what actions, events or people bring you a positive energy state. Actions and people who bring you positive energy help you walk your path more proactively.

In addition to surrounding yourself with positive people, to increase your energy state, you have to do an inner work. Following the following patterns can help you achieve optimal energy status:

  • Keep focused on your goals so that energy doesn’t go to waste.
  • Try to keep yourself in a state of non-resistance: everything you resist will stick to you.
  • Be aware of your limitations without judging yourself.
  • Focus your energy on the goals you have the most control over.

Also, you need to look for activities that help keep you motivated. For some, it is enough to exercise, go to the park, share activities or change habits. You have to find a job that charges you with energy and try to include it in your daily life. It also helps to stay close to people with a similar outlook on life to yours, so that they too can enjoy the energy you emanate.

Choosing your daily environment, friends, activities and life partners well affects your mood. Surrounding yourself with affable people with positive energy is an important help in facing challenges, both fundamental and less basic.

Attitude is contagious… Is it worth getting infected with yours?
