How Is The Mind Reprogrammed?

How is the mind reprogrammed?

If you continue with the same conduct as always, you will never change your existence.  If there is something you don’t like, change it. People are used to complaining about everything, but they don’t have the courage to make a radical change in their life. Don’t forget this mantra: “if you really want a different result, you have to behave differently”.

It sounds logical and simple in words, but in practice it isn’t always. The problem is that human beings are habitual, we like to repeat things, for convenience, for fear of the unknown, so as not to have to think of an alternative. However, we are always ready to complain or criticize. Wouldn’t it be easier to get to work and forge your own destiny? You might say that this has already been written, but it is also true that the future “needs to be helped a little.”

It takes many years, many experiences and many events to “program” your brain. This is forged by the personality, the way one relates to people, the education received and given, the successes in the workplace, etc. The good news is that the mind can be “reprogrammed” like a computer or cell phone. This “reset” is needed to be able to face the present and, above all, the future in a better way by eliminating everything that is not good for you and that does not allow you to move forward.

If you want to change, the first thing to do is ask yourself why you want to do it. It is not necessary for other people to know the answer. Do this exercise when you are alone at home in your room, when you are in the pool or even when you are traveling.

The second question to ask is “Why do I want to do this?”. Perhaps you are not happy because you are looking for that love that does not come, because you are trying to graduate or because you want a promotion. Perhaps there is no reason beyond wanting to be a “better person”.

Think about how you can change your conduct and how quickly you can do it. Be objective and balanced: the date must neither be very close nor very far in time.

The programming of our mind starts from birth, from the first moment of life. It is conditioned by the education of our parents and the teaching of our teachers. Although personality is very influential, relationships are more than important. If you want to reprogram yourself as you would a PC, you need to design new software that suits your needs and requirements.

It is shown by neuroscience studies that people converse with themselves about 14 hours a day. In this communication 90% of the words are negative. “I don’t understand anything”, “I can’t do it”, “it’s very difficult”, “I’m too clumsy”, “I’m always late”, “this is not for me” are just some of the most frequent phrases that cross our minds . To continue with the computer example, these phrases are like viruses that destroy the system. All you have to do is apply a good antivirus and eliminate the malware that has lodged itself in one of the most important parts of your body, the mind.

Thoughts from the past create your present and therefore shape your future. If you don’t act as a leader today, you won’t be a leader tomorrow either. If you believe you are not meeting the love of your life today, you will not meet it tomorrow either. You have to change your ideas to achieve your goals.

When you realize that your conversations are starting to be negative, repeat positive affirmations. In this way you will move them away, like the clouds in the sky when there is wind.

Three steps to reprogram the brain

1-Repetition: Program your mind by repeating an affirmation as many times as you can. This will promote greater neuronal activity and eliminate negative ideas as already mentioned. Change the thoughts that damage your brain.

2-Reminder: the mind will make you forget what you want to change following the so-called “resistance to change”. Imagine that inside your brain there is a person who controls its programming; the latter, however, is reluctant to change habits. You must be a strict and disciplined boss for your employee to carry out your orders. The problem is, you can’t fire him, so you have to drive him.

3-Visualization: every day for 5-10 minutes you have to think about your goal. Imagine that you are already living that situation and feeling the emotions that would arise from it. Try to add more and more detail to this portrait until the scene is complete.
